Welcome to the World Positive Thinkers Club!
Presently, this is a non-profit club consisting of Positive Thinkers, made up of over 500 interesting people (winners) from all walks of life, as you will discover when you visit the member's page.
The club was founded in 1995, with the purpose of recognizing & honoring Positive Thinkers who overcome difficulties; are an inspiration to others; are willing to help others become positive thinkers, and thus join the winner's circle. If you qualify you will receive the one of a kind, exciting book, "Why Positive Thinkers Have the Power," (ten years of research on why some people meet goals and others don't, and the secret why), a membership card, be listed on the winner's certificate and receive positive, uplifting newsletters. In the future there will be get-togethers. A percentage of the profits will go to the Hungry Children's Fund.
The World Positive Thinkers Club Winners list is printed in the front of the president, Ken Bossone's, book titled, "Why Positive Thinkers Have the Power", which you can purchase here, and in turn help hungry children.
As president of the club, Ken has the prerogative of installing new members, and it will be his pleasure to welcome you into the Club Winners Circle with hearty congratulations when you qualify.
News & Updates
June 8, 2010World Positive Thinkers Club PO Box 951687 Lake Mary Florida 32795 www.worldpositivethinkersclub.com mail@worldpositivethinkersclub.com News letter 106 June 08, 2010 Positive greetings once more to all my fellow Positive thinkers: What makes up a hero? Below are a few heroes’ who paid the price. Ahhhhhh! That is the main ingredient! They are willing to pay the price. But first our humor section. On my first day working at the gas station, I watched a senior co-worker measure the level of gasoline in the underground tanks by lowering a giant measuring stick down into them. “What would happen if I threw a lit match into the hole?” I joked. “It would immediately go out,” he replied matter-of-factly. “Really?” I replied. “Is there a lack of oxygen down there or some safety device that would extinguish it before the fumes ignited?” “No, the force from the explosion would blow out the match.” Does the name Lee Marvin mean anything to you? Try Academy Award winning Actor, and wounded private in WWII. How about many other actors who served their country in WWII like Clark Gable and Jimmy Stewart, or baseball legend Ted Williams who served in WWII and the Korean war. Many have the opinion that if he had not served he would be the leading total home run champion. Try Audie Murphy, the winner of the most medals in wartime and winner of the Congressional Medal of Honor. Here is an example of another Congressional Medal of Honor winner from my book, ‘Why Positive Thinkers Have the Power.’ Bob Bush made a split decision in World War II to risk it all. His Medal of Honor citation states: “In this perilously exposed position, he (Bush) resolutely maintained the flow of life-giving plasma, (a wounded officer was lying in the open on a ridge top, and Bush ran to his aid). With the bottle held high in one hand, Petty officer Bush drew his pistol with the other and fired into the enemy ranks until his ammunition was expended. Quickly seizing a discarded carbine, he trained his fire on the Japanese firing point-blank over the hill, accounting for [the deaths of] six of the enemy despite his own serious wounds and the loss of one eye suffered during the desperate defense of the helpless man.” This brave man drove off the rest of the Japanese soldiers and then evacuated the wounded officer. Bob was willing to pay the ultimate price to save a fellow human being. The Congressional Medal of Honor calls for bravery above and beyond the call of duty. Today, this positive thinking man, who made a decision to act above and beyond the call of duty, has a very successful lumber and building supply business. And so, is that the ultimate risk one must take? Is a father or mother laying down his or her life for loved ones the ultimate price? Is it a relative, or a stranger giving a healthy body part, so that another may live? Is it a person giving up a loved vocation so that a son or daughter can have constant love and care while in their baby and toddler years? Is the ultimate price a person leaving their job to start up an enterprise, so that they can be their own boss and build a garage operation into a multi-million dollar empire, like Positive Thinker Bill Gates? Is it giving up home and loved ones to keep ones sanity after constant abuse from a spouse? Is it putting a career on hold to take care of an ill, aging parent? Is it leaving your beloved country to become citizens of another country, where they can practice religious freedom and enjoy free speech? No matter what my opinion is, this is the real point: there is a price to pay for greatness or love, or success or peace of mind. And if you are not willing to pay the price, I do not condemn that decision, because we all do not think alike. One person’s goals are not the same as another’s. But if you are not willing to take a risk for your goals then do not expect people to follow you or help you. Oh, and don’t be naïve enough to think you will achieve those goals if you are not willing to pay the price, for that is also an insult to those who have been willing to pay the price to achieve theirs. The latest hero, (and Price Payer) I ran into while a tour guide at the famous www.vacwarbirds.org is none other than one of the last remaining Tuskegee Airmen, Lt. Col. (PhD.) Hiram E. Mann.. Colonel Mann (and, Kitty, his lovely bride of 70 years), and I spent part of the afternoon of June 7, 2010 in a spirited repartee. What a refreshing and exciting time it was to sit and chat with one of our last remaining heroes of WWII. Colonel Mann has won many awards, including the Congressional Gold Medal. And what a great sense of humor too. This newsletter will be on our World Positive Thinkers blog and we would love to hear from you about any hero you might know..
